College Park, Md. - So apparently Ivan the terrible decided to drop some of his wrath upon us this evening. The much awaited game again Washington was cancelled tonight due to "funnel" cloud touching down in the area. Believe me... waited in our trailers at Ludwig field is not fun. After every lighting strike our clock started counting down from 30 minutes. It was just a frustrating evening altogether.
From the trailers we headed into the team house because we heard news of three funnel clouds touching down in the beltway area. We waited for about another 30 minutes and it was finally decided that the game was cancelled and not rescheduled...but moving on from Ivan.
We leave tomorrow morning at 8:15 from our team house to head down to lovely Miami. I just checked the weather on my computer and it's supposed to be sunny and 90 during our game on sunday... JUST GREAT! But we will just be happy to get a game in this weekend.
Miami is going to be a big ACC game for us considering we at 0-1 in the conference. We're heading down there with high hopes and high spirits of being victorious, but it won't be easy...
Enough for now, I'll clue you all in from the airport tomorrow afternoon. Have a safe and great night! GO TERPS!
