What's Up Women's Soccer 9/23

The clock now reads 9:41 p.m. on the Terps bus. We just finished the movie "Man on Fire" with Denzel Washington and all I have to say is ... that was confusing. No doubt it's one of the best movies out there right now, but who has the mind to think of stuff like that? I will give two thumbs up to Denzel though, he is amazing!
Anyways, on to the soccer stuff, who knows how much longer we have until we reach Chapel Hill, or Durham, where the hotel is. I'm getting a little tired with all of the traveling we have done so far this season. We have only had one opportunity to play on our home field this season, which is a bit annoying. It's not because of our schedule, but because of set backs such as hurricanes, tornado warnings, lightning delays, and the game field just not being ready to use. I'm really looking forward to Tuesday when we play Loyola at Ludwig Field.
But let's not forget about tomorrow night - UNC ... No. 2 in the nation ... 7-0-1 so far this season ... defending national champions. It's gfoing to be a tough match, a very tough match, but we're ready! We're ready to show our real character and ready to show what we can do. We are very excited for the match so we can prove that we can give all of our ACC teams a battle to remember.
When I look back to my freshman year, when we visited UNC the last time, I remember Anson Dorrance, the UNC head coach, showing us Shannon's jersey hanging in their team house. The jersey still has ketchup and mustard stains on it from her collegiate tailgates. Sounds a bit like us, but I think she was a little sloppier. It was neat to see all of the things she accomplished when she was our age. I don't know how she is so humble - she ruled!
Well, my eyes are getting a little heavy, so I'm going to take a little cat nap before we reach Durham and the hotel.. For those of you not able to come down this weekend, you can follow the match on GameTracker at www.umterps.com. But for those of you coming down for the match ... CHEER HARD!
This is Danielle Malagari signing off at 10:03 p.m. Goodnight and GO TERPS!
