
Infante Named to Field Hockey Honor Roll

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland field hockey player Paula Infante was named to the September 5 Honor Roll by womensfieldhockey.com, which was announced today. The sophomore midfielder helped the Terrapins to back-to-back wins to open the 2004 home schedule last weekend and remain undefeated at 4-0. A first-team All-American in 2003 as a freshman, Infante (Santiago, Chile) assisted on the game-winning goal and scored another in the Terps' thrilling 6-0 triumph over traditional powerhouse Old Dominion on Sept. 4, a game in which Maryland dominated throughout the 70 minutes of action. It was Maryland's largest margin of victory in the series which dates back to 1982. The Terrapins followed up with another dominating performance in a 7-1 win over Drexel on Sept. 5 to close out the weekend. Maryland is back in action hosting the Terrapin Invitational, Sept. 11-12. The Terps host Massachusetts on the first day of action at 12 noon, followed by Northwestern and American at 2 p.m. The Wildcats face the host Terrapins on Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. with the Eagles and UMass closing out the tournament at 3 p.m. -- TERPS --
