POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: Director for Operations & Facilities
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Full-time, Exempt Staff (100153)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Director for Operations & Facilities reports to the Associate AD for Operations & Facilities and will provide management support and leadership in the Athletics Operations & Facilities office for the effective management of all athletic facilities, event operations, scheduling, staffing, budget and daily operations. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, direct oversight for selected sports event operations; oversight and management of selected outside rentals, university events, and Maryland high school athletic championships; assist with event operations for men's basketball and football; and coordinate activities involved with outside vendors and the execution of their contracts for events and facility related projects and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Must have 3-5 years of experience in collegiate athletics facilities offices or related environment. Must have working knowledge of NCAA athletic events and game day event management experience. Ability to manage multiple projects to meet critical deadlines. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be computer literate.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
