Competitive Cheer Story Posted in Error

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Due to an error during an Internet training session on Tuesday, a story regarding Maryland's Competitive Cheer squad was inadvertently posted on the front page of UMTerps.com for a brief time.
The test story was picked up by the electronic newsletter routine and was distributed erroneously to those who receive the e-mail newsletter.
The story was a sample being used to train staff on posting items to the web site and was not meant for publication or distribution. Steps have been taken to ensure this error will not occur in the future.
The Maryland Media Relations staff apologizes for the error and any confusion caused by the distribution of this item.
