COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Would you like to be a part of a University of Maryland Comcast Pavilion attendance record?
Your chance is this Friday night, and it's as simple as joining 1,500 or so other Terp fans in support of Maryland's red-hot volleyball team.
With a 22-1 record and a league-leading 13-1 ACC ledger, the Terrapins are trying to close in on a third straight conference title. One of the teams in pursuit of Maryland is Virginia, which is 9-4 in league play and 14-8 overall. The Terps and Cavs last met on Oct. 1, with Maryland prevailing 3-2 in a closely contested matchup.
In one of their last home appearances, Oct. 21 vs. North Carolina, a record crowd of 1,321 was on hand at Comcast to help the Terps overcome the Tar Heels, 3-1.
Match time Friday night vs. UVa is 7 p.m.; admission and parking is free.
