Some young ball players had the chance to meet and learn from their favorite Terps on Saturday, as the baseball team hosted a free youth clinic at Shipley Field.
Nearly 80 kids, ages 5-14, came out to Shipley and received instruction from Terp coaches and players. Head coach Terry Rupp and his team conducted a series of excercises and drills that focused on fielding, hitting, base running, bunting and throwing.
Former Terp great Justin Maxwell was also on hand to help out. A fourth-round selection in last June's Draft, Maxwell recently signed with the Washington Nationals.
