COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's water polo team welcomed back former club and varsity players Saturday for the first annual Alumni Game. With the help of a few current team members, the alumni won the game, 12-10.

Jane West, a 1997 graduate who played for successful club teams at Maryland, led the alumni with four goals. Meghan Graves, co-captain of the inaugural varsity team in 2004, scored two goals, while fellow 2004 co-captain Kelly Haisfield and 1997 grad Lisa Vitali had one apiece. Current sophomore Orsi Ferenczy (Fot, Hungary) scored two goals for the alumni, and junior Rebecca Kadushin (College Park, Md.) and freshman Atalie Abranovic (Kittanning, Pa.) each scored one.

Also returning for the game were 2004 graduates Linneah Riedlinger and co-captain Laura Nolan, both charter members of the varsity program.

Seniors Sarah Wahba (Crofton, Md.) and Juli Jordan (Springfield, Va.) and sophomore Audrey Lopez (Elkton, Md.) led the varsity team with two goals apiece. Ferenczy, who played with her current teammates in the second half, scored once for that team, as well. Also scoring for the current Terps were juniors Allison Kuzniar (St. Charles, Ill.) and Jenna Nader (Canonsburg, Pa.) and freshman Kacie Owens (Annapolis, Md.).

The Terps return to the pool this weekend for the Penn State-Behrend Invitational in Erie, Pa. Maryland will take on Notre Dame, Utica and Ottawa on Saturday before facing the host Lions on Sunday.
