Terrapin Club Introduces New $50 Bronze Giving Level and Referral Contest

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland Terrapin Club has announced the addition of a new $50 giving level. The new Bronze Level will provide an opportunity for a greater number of Maryland fans to support the Terrapin Club and the Maryland student-athletes. The new level will be eligible for some of the many Terrapin Club benefits, including single-game ticket priority, quarterly Terrapin Times and the ability to earn valuable Terpoints. "This new $50 giving level is an affordable way for Terrapin fans to support the athletic scholarship fund while also gaining access to some of the many benefits available to Terrapin Club members" stated Jonathan Evans, Executive Director of the Terrapin Club.
Along with the introduction of the Bronze giving level, the Terrapin Club has announced a large scale New Member Referral Contest to begin April 1 and run through June 30, 2005. Prizes will be awarded to the top referrers in two categories: (1) most members referred, and (2) highest amount of donations generated through referrals. Prizes include a 2005 road trip with the football team and the use of a 16-person suite in Comcast Center for a men's basketball game next season. The complete list of prizes can be found below.
In addition to the prizes awarded to the top referrers, any Terrapin Club member who refers a new member during the contest period will receive an Under Armour Terrapin Duffle Bag (a $40 value), in appreciation for their support of our membership goals. And remember, the referring member also receives the benefit of additional Terpoints based on the new member's initial gift!
"This contest is a great way for our members to promote the Terrapin Club and encourage friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to support the exceptional student-athletes within Maryland Athletics. I am hopeful that our Terrapin Club members will embrace this referral contest to help us grow our membership while taking advantage of the exceptional contest prizes" stated Evans.
The Terrapin Club is composed of approximately 8,000 members who financially support the University of Maryland's athletic scholarship fund. Membership is open to all alumni and friends of the University of Maryland.
