POSITION VACANCY

POSITION TITLE:               Assistant Coach - Field Hockey

DEPARTMENT:                   Intercollegiate Athletics

CATEGORY:                         Contract, Non-tenured Faculty (100100)

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Assist the head coach with the organization, development and implementation of a nationally competitive, Division I field hockey program.  Responsibilities will include assisting with scouting, recruiting, coaching, coordinating team travel, practice and game scheduling, and serving as liaison for media, marketing, alumni, and other groups/organizations.  Develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni, media, and the general public.  Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential.  Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, experience, and training required. At least 3 years of Division I or competitive international coaching experience required. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.  Strong communication and organizational.

SALARY:       Commensurate with experience.
