POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: Head Football Athletic Trainer
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Full-time, Exempt (100141)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Head Football Athletic Trainer will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day sports medicine/athletic training operations for football, to include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes; pre-participation physicals; inventory management of supplies and equipment; maintaining medical records; completing required insurance claims; daily interaction and communication with coaching staff, fellow athletic trainers, and administration; attending team practices and events; supervising assistant athletic trainers and student athletic trainers; assisting with administrative duties; and performing other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Athletic Training, or related field/concentration or emphasis in athletic training required. Master's degree preferred. Must have current NATABOC and CPR/AED Certification. Must have at least 5 years of athletic training experience, preferably in football at the Division I or professional level. Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
