POSITION TITLE: Assistant Director - Operations & Facilities DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics CATEGORY: Exempt, Contingent II RESPONSIBILITIES: This individual will assist the Assistant AD for Operations and Facilities in the day-to-day operations of Operations and Facilities office to ensure the effective management of all athletic facilities, event operations, scheduling, staffing and daily operations. Specific responsibilities include assisting in event operations for Men's Basketball and Football; direct oversight and management of four Olympic sports event operations; guest services operations for all athletic, rental and university events held in ICA facilities; liaison with Comcast Center suite operations; preparing event information briefing packets for in-house and contract staff; coordinating and maintaining ICA customer complaint program; assisting in event operations for all NCAA and ACC championships; communicating with coaches and conducting season event operation meeting for assigned sports; monitoring and tracking of event operation budgets for assigned sports; responsible for payment of student, independent and contract event staff; coordinating and maintaining inventory and equipment necessary for assigned sports; assisting with supervision of student staff; assisting with event operations of rental events as needed; and performing other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Entry level position. At least 1-2 years of experience in collegiate athletics facilities offices or related environment. Must have working knowledge of NCAA athletic events and game day event management experience. Ability to manage multiple projects to meet critical deadlines. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be computer literate. SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
