POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: Assistant Coach - Gymnastics
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Non-tenured Faculty Contract (100108)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the head coach with the organization, development and implementation of a nationally competitive, Division I gymnastics program. Responsibilities will include assisting with promoting, recruiting, coaching (emphasis on choreography/routine instruction), coordinating travel and hotel arrangements, practice and game scheduling, and assisting with administrative duties (i.e., uniforms, fitting, budget advancements). Develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni, media, and the general public. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of two years of gymnastics coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Strong communication and organizational skills.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
