COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland Terrapin head coach Sasho Cirovski is a subject of a documentary that is currently being filmed for release in his native homeland of Macedonia. A crew of three film makers have been on the scene at College Park shooting footage from the first day of the new season.

Journalist Rosana Petrevska, director Rozeta Petrevska and cameraman Goran Naumovski have been exposed to Coach Cirovski's sports and family life to capture the essence of college soccer. The documentary is sponsored by Ideaplus DDB, a Macedonian marketing and media relations company.

Soccer is a passion in Macedonia as it is in all European countries. The documentary aims to showcase Coach Cirovski's success in the American soccer community and highlight the unique phenomenon of college athletics, more specifically the scholarship system for student-athletes.

As part of their perspective, the documentary will feature the longstanding relationship between Coach Cirovski and Jovan Kirovski of the LA Galaxy. The two have both been a part of the legendary Manchester United's manager Sir Alex Ferguson's youth development program. Sasho was with Ferguson when he was at Aberdeen and Jovan more recently at Man United. Coach Cirovski chose the college soccer path while Jovan chose the professional route. Despite their differing directions, both have achieved a high level of success.

The documentary will be completed for airing in December.
