FALL TRYOUT INFORMATION
ATTENTION!!! The University of Maryland Spirit Squad will hold a 2005-2006 fall tryout.
Date: Thursday, September 8, 2005
Where: Auxiliary Gym, Comcast Center
Time: 6:30-8:30pm
Please wear a sports bra and cheer shorts, and arrive with full hair and make-up. Applications will be available at the tryout location. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact Coach Little at JamieS4@aol.com, or 202-438-0499. All-girl and Co-ed positions available.
**The decision to have a fall tryout is made on a year-to-year basis. If you are interested in trying out for the 2006-2007 Spirit Squad, it is recommended that you attend the spring tryouts held in April or May of 2006. There is no guarantee that the Spirit Squad will hold a fall tryout for the 06-07 season. Since the majority of the team is selected at spring tryouts, only limited spaces are available in fall. Therefore, it is much harder to make the team in the fall.
TRYOUT REQUIREMENTS (SPRING AND FALL)
Females
* Each candidate will have the opportunity to partner stunt with members of the current Spirit Squad at the time of tryouts. The cheer, fight song, dance, and partner will be taught during tryouts.
Males*
* No prior cheerleading experience is necessary for males. Participants who try out should be athletic and in good physical condition. Cheerleading skills will be taught at the time of tryouts.
