The University of Maryland women's water polo team was ranked 8th in the Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 10 Poll released on Wednesday.

Hartwick College was ranked first in the preseason poll, followed by the University of Michigan and Princeton University.

The Terps will face five of the Top 10 teams during the regular season, including Hartwick, Princeton, Harvard, Bucknell, and George Washington.

The CWPA Top 10 Poll is released every Wednesday throughout the season.
