COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The top-ranked Terrapins play their sixth top-five opponent, traveling to No. 3 Old Dominion on Saturday, Oct. 13 to close out the regular-season home-and-home series. Maryland returns to College Park on Sunday, Oct, 15 to host Albany.

Two perrenial field hockey teams take to the turf this weekend in Norfolk, Va. The Lady Monarchs (13-1) are looking to even the series with their only loss of the season coming to the Terrapins on Sept. 4, 1-0, in College Park. Redshirt-sophomore Kim Ziegler (Kingsville, Md.) tallied the only goal in the game with less than 10 minutes left in the game.

After suffering its first loss of the season last weekend to Duke, Maryland bounced back to defeat Princeton, 4-1. With the score tied at 1-1 at the half, the Terps cruised to victory. Freshman Nicole Muracco (Sewell, N.J.) had two goals in the game and leads the team with 13 on the season. Senior Berber Rischen (Rotterdam, Netherlands) also reached double-figure assists, picking up a team-high 10 on the year.

The Terrapins will be facing the top-ranked defense in the nation. ODU boasts a 0.63 goals against average so far this season. Its offense is nearly as good, ranking second with a +3.24 scoring margin.

Maryland's backfield continues to be ranked in the top five, posting a team 0.92 goals against average. Junior Kathryn Masson's (Richmond, British Columbia) 0.81 GAA is fourth-best in the country.

After its game at Old Dominion, Maryland plays University at Albany at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. The Great Danes are 10-4 on the season with their most notable victory coming against then-No. 11 American, 1-0, on Oct. 1.
