GREENSBORO, N.C. -
After his career-high 114-yard rushing performance in Satrurday's win at Virginia, Maryland tailback Keon Lattimore was named the ACC Offensive Back of the Week today.
Lattimore, a junior from Owings Mills, Md., was instrumental in the Terps' offensive strategy, as he scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 56-yard dash down the right sideline. The score was his second of the season and fifth career. With his performance, Lattimore tallied his first 100-yard rushing game in his career, and upped his season total to 371 yards on 69 carries.
In addition, he caught three passes for 37 yards, including a career-long 14 yarder. Lattimore, who on one drive in the second quarter accounted for 47 total yards, is now ranked ninth in the ACC this season with a 61.8 yards-per-game rushing average.
The Terrapins return to Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium for the first time in nearly a month this Saturday when they host ACC rival North Carolina State. Kickoff is slated for 12:00 p.m.
