Maryland Water Polo Defeats Cal Lutheran 6-4

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.- The University of Maryland women's water polo team earned their fourth win on their eight-game trip to California by defeating Cal Lutheran 6-4. This win improved the Terrapins' record to 14-5.
Elizabeth Hopkins led goal-scorers for the Terps with three goals. Christen Vagts added two goals and Blaise Stanicic contributed one.
Ashleigh Jobson played the entire game in goal, blocking ten while allowing four. She also had two steals for the Terps.
The score remained close throughout the game, and was tied at the end of the first and third quarters. The Terps were able to outscore the Regals 3-1 in the fourth quarter to come away with the win.
Maryland will face the No. 3 UCLA Bruins tomorrow in Los Angeles.
