COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland men's and women's golf programs will be featured this week on The Golf Channel's "College Central" program.

The first showing of "College Central" this week will be Wednesday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern. The show will be repeated on Thursday, March 9 at 1:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., and on Friday, March 10 at 4:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

Members of The Golf Channel's film crew were on campus recently to film some campus scenes, including the University of Maryland Golf Course, and to get a campus tour with Terp student-athletes Kate Stepanek and John Eades.

The two top players in Maryland's lineup talked about the growth of both programs and what it's like to be a Terrapin student-athlete.

Both Maryland golf teams will be in action early next week as the Spring 2006 season starts to heat up.
