COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland Gymnastics team won its final home meet of the season tonight, defeating the George Washington Colonials, 192.925-191.3. The Terps improve to 11-7 on the season and 5-2 in the EAGL conference.

Angie Ferg tied a career-best score of 9.85 on vault, finishing first overall. Rachel Martinez finished third with a score of 9.775. Rachel Colon added a 9.65 for fifth place. Maryland won the event with a team total of 48.425.

The Terps finished 1-2 on uneven bars as Colon took first place with a 9.775. Mandy Pascual notched a 9.75 for second place and Alex Gatch finished fourth with a score of 9.65. Maryland totaled a 48.15 to win the event.

Gatch tallied a 9.8 on beam for a first-place finish and Colon scored a 9.775, finishing second overall. Martinez took fourth place with a 9.65. The Terps scored a 48.1 to win the event.

Martinez paced Maryland on floor exercise with a 9.9 and first-place finish. She has scored a 9.9 or higher on the event in four of the last six meets. Kim Loew scored a career-best score of 9.85, for a second-place finish. Morgan Fishbein finished sixth with a score of 9.7. George Washington edged Maryland on the event, 48.75-48.25.

Colon earned her second all-around title of the season with a score of 38.425. Martinez tied with George Washington's Erin Aiken for second place.

The Terps return to action March 17 at 7 p.m., when they travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to take on EAGL conference opponents NC State, New Hampshire and George Washington.
