
Terps Remain In Fourth At ACC Championship

PINEHURST, N.C.- Kate Stepanek fired a two-over 74 and Katie Trotter followed close behind with a round of 77 for the Maryland Terrapins, who remain in fourth place following the second day of competition at the Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Golf Championship.
At five over par, Stepanek and Trotter are knotted with two others for fourth on the individual leader board. Both players moved in different directions on Saturday to earn their new starting spots. After beginning the day in seventh, Stepanek improved her standing several spots while Trotter ended up slipping following an impressive 72 on Friday.
As a team, Maryland was 16 over par on the day and has accumulated a total of 612 points. Currently, the Terps sit two strokes ahead of North Carolina State and trail Florida State (+33) by three for third place.
