POSITION TITLE: Assistant Coach for Men's Basketball
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics (100067)
CATEGORY: Non-tenure, Faculty Contractual (12 months)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the head coach with the organization, development and implementation of a nationally competitive, Division I men's intercollegiate basketball program. Specific duties include scouting, on-court instruction, film exchange, game preparation, general correspondence and other administrative responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. Develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni and the general public. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC, University and Athletic Department rules and regulations, including dedication to the full academic development of student-athletes, are essential.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Must have at least three successful years of collegiate coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level. Excellent organizational skills and some computer knowledge necessary. Ability to recruit to
