POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: Assistant Coach - Men's & Women's Swimming
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Full-time, 12-months (100122)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Head Coach for Men's and Women's Swimming with the organization, development and implementation of a nationally competitive, Division I intercollegiate swimming program. Specific duties include: coordinating recruiting of upper level, Division I student-athletes, and coaching; assist in scheduling practices and meets; arranging team travel; administration of team budgets; and other responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. Develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni and the general public. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to the full academic development of student-athletes are essential requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. Three to five years coaching experience required, preferably at the Division I collegiate level. U.S. Swimming Coach's certification, CPR, First Aid certifications preferred. Strong communication, organizational, administrative and computer skills.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
