POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: Assistant Compliance Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Full-time, Exempt (100042)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Compliance Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance with all facets of the compliance program necessary to administer the Department's 27 varsity sports programs. Responsibilities include: publishing the department's bi-monthly compliance newsletter, The InTERPreter, coordinating playing/practice seasons; managing the camps/clinics program; coordinating official visits to ensure that all visits are conducted according to NCAA regulations; coordinating the Special Assistance Fund and Student-Athlete Opportunity Fund; monitoring student athlete awards; maintaining and updating student athlete files (approximately 750 student-athletes); monitoring recruitment activities for all sports; and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred. Previous experience in a collegiate environment, especially in an athletics compliance office at the NCAA Division I level is preferred. Ideal candidate will have strong computer knowledge including Compliance Assistant internet (CAi) and Legislative Services Database for the Internet (LSDBi) experience; as well as the ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with diverse groups including students, parents, coaches, and administrators.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
