POSITION TITLE: Senior Associate/Associate Director of Athletics for Administration

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Senior Associate AD for Administration reports to the Director of Athletics through the Executive Senior Associate AD, is a member of the Athletic Department's senior management team, and meets monthly with the Director of Athletics. This individual is responsible for partnering with the Executive Sr. Associate AD in overseeing and insuring the efficient operation of the athletic department in all areas including, but not limited to, daily operations and administration, Facilities and Event Operations, Compliance, Academic Support and Sports Medicine. This individual will: (1) serve as the official ICA representative at on and off-campus meetings and be responsible for conveying key information to insure ICA's issues and perspectives are addressed, (2) serve as the lead individual to oversee the progress of projects assigned to members of the ICA's senior level management team and (3) participate in the analysis of ICA support units, including Academic Support and Career Development, Sports Medicine, Marketing and Compliance. The incumbent will also serve as a proactive sport supervisor and administrative unit supervisor, likely for 2 sports and 2 administrative units. This position is designed to be one in which the individual is a full participant in the management of the entire athletics program, serving in a key problem-solving role. Critical thinking skills are necessary, as is a "can do", dynamic and interactive mentality. Ability to provide clear direction to staff and the focus to follow-up on directives is essential. Ability to set challenging, yet achieveable goals.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. Requires 5-7 years of successful administrative experience in a collegiate athletic program, business, or other athletic related organization. Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills required. Computer skills in Word and Excel are strongly recommended. Must be a self-starter with an excellent work ethic and appreciation for the value of a Division I-A athletic program to the University community. Secretarial support provided.
SALARY: $80,000 - $120,000
