POSITION TITLE: Compliance Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Full-time, Exempt (100041)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Compliance Coordinator will assist the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance with the overall operations of the Athletics Compliance Office. Primary responsibilities include coordinating recruiting and eligibility compliance activities for a premier NCAA Division I-A, Atlantic Coast Conference member institution which sponsors 27 varsity sports programs (approximately 750 student-athletes). The Compliance Coordinator will serve as the primary contact with the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse; act as the department's liaison with the admissions office for domestic and international student-athlete enrollment, including transfers; monitor recruiting activities; coordinate official visits to ensure that all visits are conducted according to NCAA and University regulations; maintain and update student-athlete and prospective student-athlete files; attend NCAA and ACC conferences; and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, post-graduate degree preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years experience in intercollegiate athletics, preferably in compliance at a Division I institution, conference office or national office. Ideal candidate will have strong computer knowledge including experience with Compliance Assistant internet (CAi), the Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse, and Legislative Services Database (LSDBi). Must possess the ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, with diverse groups - students, parents, coaches, and administrators in a professional demeanor.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
