POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: Assistant Coach - Women's Golf
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Contingent II (12 months)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the head coach with the organization, development and implementation of an NCAA Division I Women's Golf program. Specific responsibilities include identifying and recruiting athletically and academically qualified student-athletes; scheduling and conducting regular practice sessions; developing, implementing, and enforcing team rules; overseeing the administrative process for team travel, budget, student-athlete eligibility and academic progress; participating in fund raising and public relations activities; and promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics program. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential. Other duties as assigned by the Sport Supervisor and/or the Director of Athletics.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Must have at least 3-5 years of demonstrated successful coaching experience in golf, preferably at a Division I collegiate level or as golf club professional. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Strong communication and organizational skills.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
