NEW YORK - The University of Maryland and CSTV Networks have teamed up to re-launch UMTerps.com ( REPLACE_ME), the official Web site of Maryland athletics. The new site offers viewers even more features and applications that will bring Terrapin alumni and fans closer than ever to their favorite Maryland teams and student-athletes. The University of Maryland is an official partner of CSTV Networks, operator of CSTV: College Sports Television and Top Ten sports site www.CSTV.com.
CSTV has operated the Terrapins Web site since November, 1996, and the partnership will continue to bring fans the most in-depth coverage of Maryland Sports across multiple platforms. CSTV's online division operates the site as part of its Web site network that includes nearly 250 official athletic sites.
"Delivering even more vibrant and timely content to Terrapin fans will significantly improve the branding of our athletics department," said Brian Ullmann, Associate Athletic Director for External Operations. "UMTerps.com has become a key tool for communicating with our fans, alumni, and community, and we look forward to offering Terp fans a more exciting and customized experience. Our new site incorporates the latest in technology and customer interaction, and positions Maryland as a leader in the dynamic field of online marketing."
UMTerps.com will continue to receive CSTV's industry-leading suite of online and new media solutions which includes the new custom Web site design, CSTV's All-Access audio and video platform - Maryland All-Access, wireless alerts, podcasting, e-commerce, ticketing, and other fan-based online marketing initiatives. The site will also feature CSTV's exclusive GameTrackerTM technology, allowing fans to follow live simulated game action, details and full play-by-play of their favorite teams.
Maryland All-Access is a popular online service that features the most in-depth coverage of Maryland sports through exclusive audio and video content, including special behind the scenes features which include Coach Friedgen and the team, Coach REPLACE_ME.
