POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: Pitching Coach - Softball (2nd Assistant)
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Full-time, Contingent II
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the head coach with the organization, development and implementation of a competitive, Division I women's softball program that competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Responsibilities include recruiting, scouting, coaching, fund-raising and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni and the general public. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. At least one year of coaching experience required, preferably at the collegiate level. Previous college playing experience is helpful. Candidates should have administrative and organizational experience as well as computer skills.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
