COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland field hockey team's home opener vs. No. 4 Old Dominion scheduled for this weekend has been moved to Monday, Sept. 4 at 2 p.m.
The game is one of the highlights of the season as the traditional powerhouses open the regular-season home-and-home series in College Park. The game was rescheduled due to possible unfavorable weather conditions along the east coast.
The No. 1 Terps are 3-0 heading into the home opener, while the Lady Monarchs visit the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex with a 2-0 record. The game will also be a rematch of last year's NCAA Tournament semifinal game which Maryland won, 3-2, en route to capturing the 2005 national title.
Admission and parking for the event will be free.
