Two Terps Named to All-ACC Field Hockey Tourney Squad

NEWTON, Mass. - Maryland field hockey players Katie O'Donnell and Janneke van Leeuwen were selected to the All-ACC Tournament squad, which was announced at the conclusion of the tournament on Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Katie O'Donnell (Blue Bell, Pa.) and senior Janneke van Leeuwen (Hilversum, Netherlands) have been key members of the second-ranked Terrapin squad, which enters the NCAA Tournament with a 17-2 record. O'Donnell, who was named the ACC's Offensive Player of the Year earlier in the week, assisted on Maryland's only goal in the 2-1 setback to Wake Forest in the semifinals on Friday. Van Leeuwen was an All-ACC pick for the first time in her career and has been a starter for the Terrapins all season, including the ACC Tournament.

The NCAA will make its bracket and seeding announcements on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. Maryland has already been selected host of the NCAA semifinal and championship rounds on Nov. 16 and 18, the first time in the history of the tournament the event will be held in the state.
