POSITION TITLE: Assistant Business Manager/Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Full-time, Exempt (100045)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Business Manager / Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Associate Director of Athletics for Business in the overall financial and business management of the department. Duties will include: preparation and processing of payroll journals and time keeping records for full-time, part-time, temporary, student and game day employees; serving as the department liason with campus payroll; daily data entry into and monthly reconciliation of the Paciolan Accounting System; distribution of monthly budget reports to the entire department; preparing monthly journal vouchers as needed; as well as other duties assigned by the Associate AD for Business.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Mangagement, Accounting, or related field. Must have at least three years experience business and payroll-related operations, preferably handling confidential information. Ability to work effectively with diverse groups. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must have computer knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and accessing the Internet. Preference will be given to candidates with experience using PHR, FRS, or Paciolan systems.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
