
Kennedy Earns NSCAA/adidas All-Mid-Atlantic Honor

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Ashly Kennedy, a senior defender for the University of Maryland women's soccer team, has been named to the 2007 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas All-Mid-Atlantic team.
The native of Annapolis, Md., was a second team selection for the Terps who finished with a 6-9-3 record and earned six shutouts. Kennedy finished 2007 tied for third on the team in points with five on a pair of goals and an assist.
Kennedy is a two-time team captain that started all 74 matches of her Maryland career. During her time in College Park, the Terps posted 23 shutouts.
Overall, Kennedy was one of 23 ACC women's soccer players honored in three regions by the NSCAA and adidas. Eight of the 11 ACC schools were represented.
