University of Maryland junior Kelly Calkin fired a 1-under-par 71 in Monday's second round to take the individual lead at the Pat Bradley Women's Golf Championship hosted by Florida International University.
Calkin had a two-round total of 148 and leads Taryn Durham of Middle Tennessee State by two strokes heading into Tuesday's final round of the 54-hole event. Calkin's 71 was the best 18-hole score posted by any player in the 49-player field in either round Monday.
Dunham took the first-round lead with a 72, but fired a 78 in the second round.
Calkin's play has Maryland in third place in the team standings with a 628 total. The Terrapins are 14 shots behind a first-place tie between host Florida International and Washington State and 14 shots ahead of fourth-place Florida Atlantic.
Also for Maryland, Kate Stepanek was tied for 12th at 157 after opening with a 77, with Kelly MacWhinnie tied for 20th at 161. Jessica Reno shot a 162 in the opening two rounds and is tied for 22nd, with Katie Trotter tied for 35th at 168. Carla Wasienko, playing individually, was in 37th place at 169 after closing with an 81 on Monday.
Tuesday's final round on the par-72 layout at the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club begins at 8 a.m. The Pat Bradley Championship is the first event of the spring season for Maryland's women's golf team.
