WALLACE, N.C. - Jessica Reno tied for ninth individually to lead University of Maryland finishers Tuesday at the UNCW Lady Seahawk Invitational women's golf tournament held at the River Landing Golf Club.
Reno shot a 76 in Tuesday's final round to finish at 224 over the 54-hole event. She joined Katie Trotter with the Terrapins' low round of the day.
As a team, Maryland fired a 308 on Tuesday, finishing fourth in the team standings at 909. The Terps were only one shot behind East Carolina at the end of the day. UNC Wilmington earned the team victory at 884, with East Tennessee State rallying for second at 901.
Also for Maryland, Kelly Calkin tied for 17th individually with a 229 total, with Kate Stepanek in 19th at 239. Trotter's round tied her for 29th at 233, with Kelly MacWhinnie tying for 34th at 235.
Emily Klein of UNC Wilmington earned medalist honors with a 4-under-par total of 212. She was four strokes better than teammate Carmen Perez-Narbon.
Maryland plays next on April 2 and 3 at the John Kirk / Lady Panther Intercollegiate in Stockbridge, Ga.
