COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland Volleyball team will host a spring tournament this Saturday April 14 featuring 12 teams from around the area. Local schools George Washington, George Mason, Georgetown, UMBC, and Loyola will also participate.

Maryland will start things off with matches against Delaware at 9 a.m. and George Washington at 11 a.m., before the tournament breaks for lunch. In the afternoon Maryland takes on James Madison at 3 p.m. and Georgetown at 5 p.m. Please see the complete schedule below.

"Everybody's just trying to improve their game overall," said Maryland Head Coach Janice Kruger. "This will give our young middles a chance to learn. Our outside hitting core is trying to develop their skills to play a starting role in the fall."

Saturday's event will mark the third of four spring tournaments for the Terrapins. Maryland has already played at Georgetown and George Washington, and will travel to Loyola in Baltimore on April 21.

"We're looking forward to having this one at home," said Coach Kruger. "We'll look to show improvement with strong aggressive play."

All games will be played in the Comcast Center Pavilion Gym on the bottom floor of Comcast Center. The games will be refereed and scored by players from participating teams. Admission is free, and free parking is available in lot 4b outside Comcast Center.
