POSITION TITLE: Video Director
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Full-time, Contingent II
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position reports to the Associate AD for External Operations and will oversees all video operations for Maryland Athletics. The Video Director will be responsible for all post-production work, as well as managing all game production of Maryland football, men's and women's basketball, and men's lacrosse home games, including hiring and managing game day crews. The Video Director will also oversee and help manage all coaches video activities. Specific duties, include but are not limited to, producing and manage all video needs, including highlight videos and special projects including commercials and recruiting videos; serving as the technical liaison for outside production companies and television broadcasts; overseeing all internet streaming, including 55 annual ACC Select events and 40+ Maryland All-Access events; managing and maintaining all digital media on umterps.com; installing, maintaining and repairing all video and audio equipment; assisting in the management of the entire video unit; developing and implementing a video internship program with appropriate university departments to provide a consistent flow of support staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Must have 3-5 years of experience, including mastery of Final Cut video editing software and equipment, including After Effects. Must have knowledge of freelance video and audio crew. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with a diverse community. SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
