POSITION TITLE:               Program Coordinator

 

DEPARTMENT:                   Intercollegiate Athletics

 

CATEGORY:                         Full-time, Contingent II

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:          The Program Coordinator will assist the Associate Director for Football with Study Table, tutoring program, and other academic support services.  Specific duties include: coordinating the Study Table component and computer lab of ASCDU for football (including weekly spreadsheets); overseeing the reporting and management of the tutorial component for ASCDU for football (including recruiting, hiring, training and assigning tutors to students); providing academic support services to a caseload of football student athletes; coordinating the class monitoring program for football; assisting with coordination of Faculty Guest Coach program; assisting with recruiting presentations during official visits and other recruiting weekends; assisting with coordination and implementation of the football Community Service program; and other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, preferably in Higher Education, College Student Personnel Services, or related field. At least 1-2 years of experience in post-secondary educational institutions, preferably in athletic academic services.  Familiarity with NCAA academic rules and procedures.  Strong oral and written communication skills are needed.  Must be computer literate, preferably using Microsoft Word and Excel.  Must be a self-starter who is able to manage multiple tasks.

 

SALARY:       Commensurate with experience.
