POSITION TITLE: Diving Coach - Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Program
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Contingent Category II
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the head coach with the organization, development, and implementation of an NCAA Division I Varsity Diving program for men and women. Responsibilities include day-to-day on deck coaching; recruitment of high level student-athlete divers, various administrative duties, development of training plans for collegiate level divers both in water and dryland training; and promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics program. This individual will develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni, media, and the general public. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Must have 2-3 years demonstrated successful experience in diving at the college or club level. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
