Arias Named To SoccerBuzz Team Of The Week

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland women's soccer player Nataly Arias has been named to the SoccerBuzz Elite Team of the Week after scoring a pair of game-winnning goals for the Terps last weekend.
Arias started her weekend of heroics on Friday, Sept. 14, by finishing a Kaila Sciascia corner kick with a picture-perfect header in the 110th minute for a 1-0 double-overtime Maryland win over Dartmouth.
The Alexandria, Va., native followed up that performance with another game-winning goal in the Terps' 1-0 win over regional foe George Mason. Arias worked a terrific give-and-go with Maureen Dowling for the score. Arias received the ball back near the penalty kick stripe and finished the score into the left side of the Patriot net.
For her efforts, Arias was also selected as the University of Maryland female student-athlete of the week on umterps.com.
Arias and the rest of the Maryland team return to action with the final game of a three-game homestand this Saturday, Sept. 22, at Ludwig Field. The Terps will take on the Kent State Golden Flashes at 7 p.m.
