POSITION TITLE: Head Coach - Women's Volleyball
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Non-tenured Faculty, Contract (12 months)
UNIVERSITY AND AREA: The
RESPONSIBILITIES: Organize and direct all aspects of a highly competitive, Division I women's volleyball program. Specific responsibilities include identifying and recruiting athletically and academically qualified student-athletes; scheduling and conducting practice sessions and regular season contests; developing, implementing, and enforcing team rules; overseeing the administrative process for team travel, budget, student-athlete eligibility and academic progress; participating in fund raising and public relations activities; and promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics program. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations, as well as dedication to the full academic and social development of student-athletes are essential. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Must have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful coaching experience in volleyball at the Division I collegiate level. Preference will be given to Head Coaches with a successful track record or top assistants at programs achieving on a national scale. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Strong communication and organizational skills.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
