GREENSBORO, N.C. - University of Maryland junior quarterback Chris Turner and sophomore lineman Bruce Campbell earned Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday.

Turner was tabbed the top offensive back for his performance in Saturday's 26-0 win over No. 21 Wake Forest.

Campbell, making his first start of the season at left tackle, was the top offensive lineman from last week's ACC games.

Turner completed a career-high 28 of 41 passes (68.3 percent) for a season-high 321 yards, including one TD with no interceptions against the top-rated pass defense in the nation. He connected with wideout Darrius Heyward-Bey 11 times and hooked up with eight other receivers in engineering the team's third win over a Top 25 team this season.

Campbell helped make sure Turner had time to complete those 28 passes as Wake Forest did not register a sack. The Maryland offense posted 470 yards of total offense, including 140 on the ground.

Also honored this week by the ACC were Virginia linebacker Jon Copper (defensive lineman/MLB), outside linebacker Mark Herzlich of Boston College (defensive back/OLB), place-kicker Graham Gano of Florida State (specialist) and quarterback Jacory Harris of Miami (rookie).

Other Maryland players nominated included Jeremy Navarre (defensive lineman), Moise Fokou (defensive back), Obi Egekeze (specialist) and Davin Meggett (rookie).

The Terps, who are receiving votes this week in each national poll, play host to NC State Saturday (3:30 p.m. ESPN 360/Terrapin Sports Radio Network).
