Usher's 242 kills are a new career season high. Usher is hitting .297 in conference play, the sixth-best mark in the conference.

Virginia comes into the weekend having lost three of its last four matches. The Cavaliers lead the ACC in digs, averaging 16.31 per set, which ranks in the top 40 nationally.

Maryland leads the all-time series with Virginia, 32-17, but the Cavaliers have won five straight matchups.

Junior Betsy Horowitz is fourth in the league in hitting percentage at .368. The Hokies are one of the best serving teams in the country, averaging 1.71 aces per set, tops in the ACC and 19th nationally.
