Bowl Kickoff Event Scheduled for Friday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland was selected Sunday to play in the Roady's Humanitarian Bowl. The Terps will take on Nevada on Tuesday, Dec. 30 in Boise, Idaho.
To celebrate the Terps' sixth bowl in the last eight seasons, the Maryland Gridiron Network, along with the Terrapin Club, will serve as hosts to a Bowl Kickoff Reception.
The reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Varsity Grille in College Park. There will be complimentary light refreshments for MGN and Terrapin Club members, drink specials, bowl ticket and merchandise sales, and bowl destination information.
Coach Ralph Friedgen will address the crowd around 6:15 p.m. The event is open to all Terrapin fans and is a great way to start your evening before heading to the men's basketball game at 8 p.m. against Delaware State.
The Varsity Grille is located on Route 1 behind the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex and next to the University View. For those attending the basketball game, there is a lighted walking path into parking lot 11b on your way to the Comcast Center.
