COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland women's water polo team will play host to nine schools this weekend at the Terrapin Invitational which will be held on campus at the Eppley Recreation Center Natatorium.

Maryland (5-3) will face Iona (0-0) and Marist (3-2) Saturday, and Wagner (0-2) Sunday.

The Terps and the Gaels begin their match at 10:30 a.m., while Maryland-Marist match gets underway at 7:15 p.m. The Terrapins face Wagner at 11:45 a.m.

The Terps struggled in last year's tournament, but look to build on a 3-1 showing at last weekend's Princeton Invitational.

Marist will look to repeat its performance from the 2007 Terrapin Invitational, when the Red Foxes won three of their four matches.

Other teams in attendance include CWPA Southern Division rivals No. 19 Bucknell (7-2), George Washington (2-3) and No. 18 Princeton (2-2). Bucknell is coming off a big 11-10 win over No. 20 Indiana at last weekend's Princeton Invitational.

The other teams rounding out the field this weekend are Villanova, Slippery Rock University (0-0) and St. Francis College (0-0).

Action will kick off Friday with Princeton facing Slippery Rock at 7 p.m.

The tournament will conclude Sunday afternoon.
