STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. - Kelly Calkin shot a 3-over-par 76 for the second straight day to finish at 152 and earn a tie for seventh individually in Monday's final round of the John Kirk / Panther Intercollegiate women's golf tournament hosted by Georgia State.

Calkin's round led Maryland to an eighth-place finish in the team standings, as the Terrapins' score of 313 gave them a 636 total. The Terps entered Monday's final round in ninth place in the 36-hole event.

Also for Maryland, freshmen Kerri Connolly and Hilary Lawson each shot 77 on Monday. Connolly finished in a tie for 37th with a 159 total, with Lawson tying for 57th at 165. Lara Peffley also finished at 165 after an 83 on Monday, while Katie Trotter tied for 69th at 172.

Georgia State won a playoff for the championship, as the hosts tied Jacksonville State at 613 in the team standings. Western Carolina finished third at 618.

Suzanne Stanley of Mississippi State earned medalist honors. She finished at 1-over-par 147 after a 74 on Tuesday. She won by two shots over Maria Ringdahl of East Tennessee State and Maria Ronderos of Miami.

Maryland plays next on April 7 and 8 at the UNCW Lady Seahawk Invitational in Wilmington, N.C.
