
Early-Season Maryland Football Game Times Set

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Times for the University of Maryland's opening three games of the 2008 football season have been set, the Atlantic Coast Conference office announced Tuesday.
Each of the Terrapins' first three contests will be televised, highlighted by the first-ever meeting with California on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium.
The Maryland-Cal game will kick off at noon ET and be televised nationally on either ESPN or ESPN2.
The Terps' season opener against Delaware, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 30 at Byrd Stadium, will kick off at 3:45 p.m. and be televised on ESPNU.
In addition, Maryland's first road trip to Middle Tennessee State (Sept. 6) is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET and be televised on Comcast Sports Southeast. The Terps' clash with MTSU will be shown locally on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic.
After the first three weeks of the regular season, ACC home games are selected on a 12-day option by ESPN/ABC or Raycom Sports. Four times during the season, ESPN/ABC can choose certain ACC games on a six-day window.
Kickoff for the Terps' midweek game at Virginia Tech (Thursday, Nov. 6) has been set for 7:30 p.m. (ESPN).
