POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: Assistant Coach - Softball
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Non-tenured Faculty (112918)
UNIVERSITY: The
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the head coach with the organization, development and implementation of a competitive, Division I women's softball program that competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Responsibilities include recruiting, scouting, coaching, fund-raising and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni and the general public. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred. Must have at least 2 years collegiate or international coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level. Strong experience as a pitching coach a plus. Previous college playing experience helpful. Must be computer literate. Strong organization and communication skills necessary. Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a face paced environment.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
