Top Terps Head To No. 17 Delaware

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 1-ranked Maryland field hockey team heads to Newark, Del. later this afternoon to take on No. 20 Delaware, the alma mater of head coach Missy Meharg.

The Blue Hens, ranked No. 17 in the latest Kookaburra/NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll, are 9-3 on the year. Maryland owns the all-time series over the Blue Hens, 22-10-2.

The Terrapins defeated No. 20 Old Dominion 6-3 Friday night. Maryland improved to 15-0 on the year.

Senior Nicole Muracco became Maryland's career goals leader Friday night with her two goals over No. 20 Old Dominion. She scored goals 19 and 20 on the season and 73 and 74 in her career. She surpassed Carla Tagliente's 73 goal career record, achieved between 1997-2000.
